Congrats to an artist!
Eduard Taberner, who was in 2nd year Batxillerat last course, has been the winner of the animation contest DKV Fresh Art with his animated work called Mente.

1st SPEECH CONTEST AWARDS
On 27th June the five finalists of the contest had to make a speech in front of the jury. They did their best and it was really hard for the members of the jury to give the final verdict as they all deserved the prize. There was a wide variety of ideas dealing with the topic Visit London in three days from planning a low cost trip to visiting the strangest places in London.
It's been our first expererience in organizing a contest of this kind and it's worth doing it again in the coming school year since the students have been really motivated to show their speaking skills.
Congratulations to all costestants and thanks for taking part in the PELE project.

ONLINE NEWSPAPERS - 3 ESO
For the last few years the English Department has been offering the elective subject OPTATIVA ANGLÈS SEGONA LLENGUA for those students who study French as a first foreign language throughout ESO.
In 3rd year ESO, students have had this elective just for a term (from February to June), two hours a week. From now on this subject will become a full-length elective (from September to June), two hours a week. As its length has been doubled, we'll be able to practise the four basic skills of English not only by publishing an online newspaper among other activities, but also focusing on grammar and vocabulary with the support of a textbook ranging from level B1 to level B2.

SUMMER HOMEWORK 2013
Com
a normativa del Departament d’Ensenyament de la Generalitat de Catalunya, els
alumnes que no superin l’avaluació ordinària de juny hauran de realitzar
l’avaluació extraordinària de setembre, en la qual es valoraran els següents
ítems:
- Treballs encomanats pel departament. Són de caire obligatori.
- Exàmens de recuperació de setembre.
- L’evolució de l’alumne al llarg de tot el curs.
El
Seminari d’anglès del Departament de Llengües Estrangeres de l’INS Angeleta
Ferrer i Sensat avaluarà la convocatòria extraordinària de setembre de la
següent manera:
ESO
Examen 50% de la nota final
Feina
d’estiu 20% de la nota final
Evolució
curs 30% de la nota final
BATXILLERAT
Examen 60% de la nota final
Feina
d’estiu 20% de la nota final
Evolució
curs 20% de la nota final
La
feina d’estiu, tant a l’ESO com al Batxillerat, consisteix en fer el quadern d’estiu amb autocorrecció corresponent a cada curs, el qual s’ha de lliurar
al professorat el mateix dia de l’examen de setembre.
També
recomanem que aquell alumnat que hagi obtingut una nota inferior a 6 pot
repassar durant l’estiu fent un quadern de vacances. Aquí us donem uns quants exemples d’entre els
molts que podeu trobar a les llibreries:

BATXILLERAT
Per
a l’alumnat que hagi suspès la matèria i per qui vulgui fer un repàs general:

Readers de qualsevol editorial
(Burlington, Oxford Bookworms, Macmillan...) i escolliu el nivell més adient al
vostre curs, i si sou de batxillerat i voleu versions originals no massa
complicades podeu trobar títols interessants a la col·lecció Rollercoasters d’ Oxford.

Seminari d’anglès us desitja unes bones vacances d’estiu! I recordeu:
converseu amb turistes si saben anglès o demaneu pels llocs si sou turistes,
mireu pel·lícules en v.o., intenteu seguir lletres de cançons i sobretot…

I CONCURS D'ORATÒRIA
I Concurs d’Oratòria Angeleta Ferrer i Sensat
El
Departament d’anglès ha participat en un projecte per l’ impuls de
l’ensenyament i l’aprenentatge de la llengua anglesa mitjançant el projecte
PELE 2010-2013 (Pla Experimental de Llengües Estrangeres) del Departament
d’Educació de la Generalitat de Catalunya. Hi han participat durant tres cursos
els alumnes que ara són a 4t d’ ESO.
És
per aquest motiu que es convoca el primer
concurs d’oratòria en anglès dirigit
als alumnes que han participat des dels inicis del projecte.
BASES DEL CONCURS D’ORATÒRIA EN LLENGUA ANGLESA PER A L’ALUMNAT
DE 4T D’ ESO
OBJECTIU I MODEL DE CONCURS
1.
L’objectiu d’aquest concurs d’oratòria és ajudar a promoure el
desenvolupament
oral de la llengua anglesa entre els alumnes participants en el projecte PELE,
incentivant i posant en valor els coneixements
que
hagin après de l’ idioma i reconeixent aquest aprenentatge.
2.
El model de concurs es basa en l’enregistrament d’una exposició oral
per
part dels alumnes participants. Aquesta exposició ha de ser individual.
PARTICIPANTS
Alumnes
de 4t d’ ESO A, B, C i D, els quals han format part del projecte PELE 2010-2013.
TEMA DE PARTICIPACIÓ
Visit London in three days: What to see? What to do?
DURACIÓ DELS ENREGISTRAMENTS
La
duració dels enregistraments serà de 4 a 5 minuts. En els documents presentats
s’ha de fer evident que l’alumne no llegeix cap text, tot i que pot seguir un
petit guió.
FORMAT DE L’ENREGISTRAMENT
·
S’acceptaran enregistraments
lliurats en format CD/USB .
·
Els CD/USB hauran d’identificar el nom i cognoms de
l’alumne participant.
·
Els enregistraments
hauran de tenir suficient qualitat d’imatge i sobretot sonora per tal que es
pugui valorar correctament l’exposició oral.
TRAMESA I TERMINI DE LLIURAMENT
Per
a poder participar en el concurs caldrà omplir i lliurar el formulari
d’inscripció i l’autorització dels pares o tutors.
Els
CD/USB podran ser lliurats del abans del 10 de juny de 2013 al
professorat de 4t del seminari d’anglès.
SELECCIÓ DE FINALISTES I GUANYADORS.
Es
formarà un jurat responsable de la selecció dels finalistes i dels
guanyadors
amb membres del departament d’anglès i d’altres departaments del nostre centre.
Aquest
jurat valorarà els enregistraments dels alumnes participants i
n’escollirà
els que passaran a la darrera fase del concurs. En aquesta
darrera
fase els alumnes seleccionats realitzaran la seva intervenció
davant
del jurat, el qual escollirà els guanyadors i farà el lliurament de premis de
les categories següents: GOLD, SILVER i
BRONZE. La data de la fase final serà
el 27 de juny de 2013 a les 11 del matí a l’aula 203.
Aspectes que el jurat tindrà en compte a
l’hora d’avaluar les presentacions:
Correct use of vocabulary and grammar

Maturity: suitable contents and development of the
topic

Communication Skills

PREMIS
Es concediran un màxim de sis premis, dos per categoria, els quals
es lliuraran el mateix dia de la final.
